Hanging Chuppah and Wild Centerpieces at Greenpoint Loft

We worked with Bride Miritt to create a interesting and wild centerpieces in brass containers, tall wild centerpieces and even a floating chuppah!

Deep Maroon Tones at MyMoon

We worked with Olivia to create beautiful flower arrangements for her wedding at MyMoon. We used a mix of pale toned greens, pale flowers and dark maroon and burgundy flowers. The richer toned arrangements played off of the beautiful interior of the venue space, and was a perfect notch to the fall season.

The tables were decorated with a loose leaf style garland, perfect for family style dining!

Congrats to the happy couple!

Rustic Romantic Wedding at Waterloo Village NJ

Kate and Eric had a gorgeous rustic ceremony in Waterloo Village, a restored 19th-century canal town. The ceremony and reception took place at a historic farm to table venue. The catering was partially provided by food grown at the very location on which the bride and groom said their vows.

The ceremony took place by the river bank, where the sun glistened on the water behind the beautiful couple. The cocktail hour and reception, on the other hand, were in the spacious rustic event space.

Filled with wooden tables and chairs, this hand-made furniture created a charmingly mismatched atmosphere. We decorated the tables with subdued flowers: baby's breath, spray roses, and other natural blooms. With the homespun vibe, we paired mismatched vases of all shapes and sizes.

While the furniture, vases and candles were diverse and peculiar, the arrangements were a paradigm of simplicity, symmetry, and class.

Nature abound, we were happy to give this bride her dream wedding, and to spend a little time relaxing by the creek ;)

Allison and Mike at Foundry

A beautiful wedding at the raw Foundry space in Long Island City.

This winter wedding wasn't without color: Giant swaths of eucalyptus were filled out with light peach and whites from anemones, peonies, roses, ranunculus, clematis, berries, and scabiosas. The bride and groom gave their vows under a giant curly willow wreath with eucalyptus, mums, orchids, lisianthus and amaranth.

The bride went for tasteful drama, flower spilling from the ceiling, chairs, tables. Soft candles and twinkle lights make the whole room glow, softening the dramatic shape of her arrangements. Lovely winter flowers feel natural in the overgrown space, transporting guests from the harsh NYC winter to a winter paradise.

We loved working with you two, many happy returns!

Coral Peony and Aqua Blue Wedding at Next Door's Studio

In an unassuming building in Sunset Park, we created fabulously bold arrangements for this early summer wedding. In a classically industrial chic warehouse, there were views of the sunset over the East River, Jersey City, and the Statue of Liberty herself. The simple whites of the venue let the vibrant tables steal the show.

We filled golden terrariums with colorful spring garden flowers like coral charm peonies, peach ranunculus, Juliet garden roses, ruby amaryllis , blush pink peonies, and natural dark greens. These high-end showy flowers turned into a fabulously massive bridal bouquet!

Against a cobalt background, these vibrantly warm flowers created a beautiful contrast, made even more bold by gold table settings. We couldn't have been happier to work with such an interesting style!

Best wishes to the newly weds!

Blush Toned Garden Gorgeousness in CT

Eden and Jacks New Canaan CT wedding was the quintessential garden wedding. Held under a fantastic sail tent, with long dark wood tables lining the reception space.

We created a beautiful mix of centerpieces made of blush toned spring flowers in mercury glass vases. The were accented with a variety of candles and placed on rough-edged linen runners. All together it was a romantic and dreamy sight.

Congratulations to the happy couple and their families!

Exciting news here at the flower shop

If you've popped by at the shop in recent weeks, it's hard to miss that there's a bit of a baby boom. Must be something in the flower water.

Our little family is expanding, and we recently decided to find out the sex of the little babe....and in trying to do our best to make it to some sort of "pintrest fail" list, we smoke-bombed ourselves in the backyard. Our little Mason was super excited about all the commotion. Can't wait for the little lady to join our happy flower family.

Still a few months to go...going to be a fun summer at Rosehip!

Colorful and Wild Wedding at the Green Building

This past summer, we were able to help a Brooklyn Couple celebrate their wedding in Carroll Gardens. The lovely bride and groom chose the Green Building, in Carroll Gardens, for their wedding; the venue is just as gorgeous as the name implies.

The soft, naturally light, rustic interior was given an amazing amount of color with these fun, whimsical centerpieces. The bride and groom did a fabulous job of choosing in-season flowers for their arrangements, bouquets, and boutonnierres, allowing us to use the biggest, baddest flowers that New York City had to offer. The result was colorful, citrus, and peppy flowers for their reception, a perfect vibe for a late spring wedding.

We used coral charm peonies, white ranunculus, blush garden roses, Mexican sunflowers, lisianthus, and a mix of other seasonal blooms to accentuate the focal flowers. Soft blue-sage eucalyptus was the perfect contrast to the lovely warm citrus and pink of the wedding.

Best wishes, come see us soon!

Gabrielle and Brian Wedding at MyMoon

Gabrielle and Brian were married at MyMoon in Williamsburg, Brooklyn this past summer!

Jewel tones - amethyst, blush, onyx, ruby, wine, burgundy, lapis, and quartz - were chosen for these gorgeous high-end arrangements. The couple loved a flower heavy style, with some asymmetry and wildness. Dahlias, garden roses, lisianthus, tea roses, ranunculus, and interesting greens were in each of the centerpieces and arrangements, which were spread throughout the indoor portion of MyMoon. Such a beautiful wedding!

See you soon,

Jacqueline and Silvian Wedding at Brooklyn Winery

Jacqueline and Silvian had a gorgeous wedding reception at the Brooklyn Winery this year, and we were so happy to help them make it beautiful!

Blue and white tones were dominant, with a more wild and natural style for the bud vases and mason jars. We used tweedia, delphiniums and thistle for the blue-purple tones, and roses, lisianthus, and Queen Anne's lace for white. Eucalyptus gave yet another lovely blue silver tone, finishing off the arrangements!

We had a great time working with you two!

Best wishes

Pale and Dark Toned Flowers for Brooklyn Winery

This year we had the opportunity to work with the Brooklyn Winery to make a baby shower beautiful! This Brooklyn baby shower was decorated with bud vases and a large arrangement, in a natural, spontaneous style.

With a high contrast color palette, we made the flowers natural, yet modern. The dark and pale tones of the garden roses, dahlias, lisianthus, and berries were so lovely.

We wish you the best of luck with the new baby!

Dark Wine Toned Wedding in Central Park and Orsay Restaurant

A gorgeous wedding from this past October is finally coming to the Rosehip blog!

Held at Orsay Restaurant in the upper east side, Melissa chose a deep, sultry color theme. The flowers were mainly wine colors, burgundy and dark amber tones, with lighter pinks to brighten it up and add contrast. The darker reds were perfect for this October wedding, and we had a fantastic time working with Melissa!

Pale Pink and Eucalyptus Filled Wedding at MyMoon

We have a throwback for when we got the chance to do the flowers for this lovely late September wedding at MyMoon, in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn!

Michelle chose soft pinks and whites, with a few more colorful accents. In her bridal bouquet, we used seasonal dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, spray roses, lisianthus with dusty miller for the foliage accent.

In the reception, hydrangeas, roses, and lisianthus were paired with a variety of eucalyptus in bud vases, cascading garland, and chalice centerpieces.  Candles accented the flowers, and gave the reception a warm glow.

Until next time!

Colorful Fall Wedding at Deity

This lovely couple was married at one of our favorite venues, Deity NYC in this October wedding in Brooklyn! The weather is cooling, but the color palate for the flowers was warm and fun. We love the bright and colorful flower choices

Kereyne's large bridal bouquets used mainly pink, peach, and blush flowers, including peonies, ranunculus, seasonal dahlias and roses. This paired nicely with the soft yellows and oranges of ranunculus and spray roses in the boutonnieres.

Que bellissima!

Soft Pink Foxy Wedding at Brooklyn Winery

PeiPei and John were married this past year at the Brooklyn Winery.

They chose to use soft pinks, peaches and creams for the flower colors, which was beautiful in the venue. A green wall added extra interest, and helped to make the modern garden vibe shine!

Best of luck to you crazy kids,

The Rosehip Team

Summer Soft Pink and Peony Greenpoint Loft Wedding

Andrea and Matt celebrate a beautiful summer wedding in Brooklyn, and enjoy a view of the Manhattan skyline.

Greenpoint Loft was the perfect spot for this light and natural wedding. Pinks and whites were the colors of choice for this bride, a beautifully romantic color palate. Peonies, roses, ranunculus, spray roses, hydrangeas, lisianthus, and mums were the flowers du jour, making this event fabulously pretty.

We loved working with you, best wishes, from the Rosehip Team!

Summer Wild Wedding at Invisible Dog Art Center in BK

A gorgeous wedding from this past July at the Brooklyn Invisible Dog Art Center.

The bride chose wild, spontaneous, natural styles for her bridal bouquet and place settings. We used mainly summer flowers, including dahlias, garden roses, ranunculus, tea roses, ripened raspberries, spray roses, lisianthus, scabiosa pods, and seeded eucalyptus. The high end flowers were paired with countless wildflowers, grasses, and greens, giving the wedding a high-end, but spontaneous vibe.

Peaches and pinks were the focus of this warm toned weddings, shown most vividly in the bridal bouquet, and the table settings were a more subtle tonal pallet.

This fabulous venue was perfect for a garden style wedding, with space, natural light, and clean white space.

Kelly and Norm at MyMoon

My Moon, known for beautifuly intimate events, hosted the lovely wedding of Kelly and Norm. The ceremony was held in the lush garden space at the venue; it was decorated with lovely hydrangea filled lanterns, and hung with mason jars filled with natural flowers. The lanterns were filled with limelight hydrangeas, and the mason jars with a variety of roses, thistles, salvia, mums, and grasses.

The bridal party held bouquets of lime hydrangeas, roses, orchids, and trailing amaranth.

Inside the venue, table centerpieces held the citrus green colors of the bride's bouquet, with hydrangeas, orchids, and mums; these paired nicely with the minimalist bubble vases with floating orchids and mums.

We'd love to give a shout-out to the talented Kelsey Combe Photography for the fantastic pictures featured here!
